I always thought that properly learning expository writing, in high school and university, was one of the most valuable lessons of my education. But, in business, sales, marketing, and startups, you need to be able to tell a story, and this is a completely different process from making a statement and following it with carefully fleshed out facts.
Here is Ira Glass from This American Life, one of your favorite radio shows/podcasts, on how to craft a story, through building blocks (the anecdote) as a sequence of events constantly building questions (the bait), as well as the reflection (why is this important).
